Job Title: Hardware Designer

Main Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the project manager, you will be involved in all design activities across various ongoing projects within the company. You will contribute from the initial phase of the project through to commercialization.

The candidate will be part of a research and development project. They will be required to document their tests, synchronize their activities with the rest of the team, and actively participate in the idea-generation process.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, the candidate will collaborate with colleagues from different fields. They will be responsible for part of the project and must coordinate the electronic portion with the mechanical aspects of the ongoing design.

The candidate must demonstrate autonomy, resourcefulness, and the ability to communicate their progress to the project team. They must show problem-solving skills and report to their immediate supervisor when facing an impasse.

Required Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering education

• Relevant experience in electronic design and product development

• Bilingual in spoken and written French and English

• Knowledge of electronic design with software such as Eagle, OrCAD, Cadence

• Knowledge in programming such as C, C++, VBA, VHDL

• Familiarity with layout software

• Ability to lead a project through to production

• Ability to provide technical support and collaborate with clients

• Skills in component sourcing and subcontractor management

• Skills in creating technical documents, documentation, and procedures

• Skills in assembling and building prototypes

• Interest and experience in IoT technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and big data management
